Supporting Equality or Buying Political Outcomes

Google, who’s services this blog and blogger use, has given more than a little support to the opposition to California’s Proposition 8. Now they’re filing an amicus (friend of the court) brief supporting class actions suits against the new state regulation. I guess it would be naive to hope that technology companies like Google could learn to make technology their focus instead of public policy. When the people with the most money have the most say, it’s called an oligarchy.
