Homeschooling Numbers Climb

A report out this month by the U.S. Department of Education has revealed that homeschooling numbers are up by more than 35%. The numbers of families choosing to educate their children outside of traditional school settings have been growing steadily over the past decade.

An interesting note in the BP News release is that President-elect Obama and probable Secretary of State nominee Clinton may both have hopes of limiting this growth. With their support of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child their could very well be an indication of the state taking a more hostile role toward parental authority.

It is a day for prayer.
